Brianna sitting with Kambo. You can see the Kambo medicine on her upper right arm and the bucket is for vomiting.
Captive born and raised Kambo frogs do not produce the secretion.
Sometimes Kambo can cause swelling, especially in the face. This can be normal. Here is Brianna with “Frog Face.”
What is Kambo?
The Phyllomedusa Bicolor, Monkey tree frog, Giant leaf frog, Giant Waxy tree frog, Sapo, Dow-Kíet, or Kambo frog is a large species of amphibian that mainly resides in the Amazon basin. The majority of them in Perú, Columbia, Brazil and the Guianas (South America). It is a member of the Hylidae family, subfamily Phyllomedusinae. They are insectivores as far as what has been observed, but the specifics of their diet is unknown. They do not produce the secretion (The ooze we use medicinally) in captivity and it is assumed it is because of the insects they consume in the wild. I personally believe they do not produce the secretion in captivity because the medicine is not meant to be mass produced by a big company, but kept sacred and in nature.
When the ooze (Kambo) is used medicinally, it is administered through small burns on the top layers of skin, exposing the lymphatic system. The Kambo floods the Lymphatic system and uses at least 200 different peptides (As of 2009 we know of at least 200 peptides strains in Kambo) to cleanse the body, treating and preventing illnesses. During a session a person may experience all kinds of symptoms, vomiting, sweating, shaking, diarrhea, fainting, etc. This can all be normal and part of the healing process. This practice has been used for thousands of years in the jungle and has been called “The jungles vaccine.” Kambo has been known to treat many diseases and illnesses with some examples being: Alzheimers, Chronic pain, Infections, PTSD, Toxic build up, Parkinsons, Depression, Addictions, Fatigue, Inflammation, Cancer, Anxiety, STD’s, Allergies, Infertility, Migraines, STI’s, Psoriasis, Lyme disease, bringing people into a spiritual state and so much more.
WARNING:
Kambo can be dangerous if it is not done with a trained and experienced practitioner.

The Kambo frog’s limbs are gently tied up with soft string while being “milked” for the Kambo medicine. If done correctly, no harm is done to the frog.
These dots are the burn wounds from where the Kambo was administered.
